30 December 2009 - Solar Viewing
The IYA at the CNO ended as it began - with solar viewing.
Clouds were coming through from the west continuously, but there were sufficient holes to appreciate
sunspot group #1039. Visitor Reg Feuz managed to take some pictures through the telesope´s eyepiece.
His artfully processed image is presented below.
Special events were held throughout the International Year of Astronomy 2009.
